In a surprising partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
